I have 40Gb on my IBM Netvista PC. I have just bought a 160Gb and want to
replace the 40 Gb with it. I want to use the 40Gb as an external harddrive.
I have managed to install and format the 160Gb as F: drive.

How do I move everything on the 40Gb to the 160 Gb, including the hidden
files etc. Assuming I get this done, do I then just take out the 40Gb and
install the 160Gb in its place and continue from there?

Thanks

The hard drive maker will have a utility at their website to make this task
easier. Take a look. Also, download the Ontrack reg_48bit_lba.exe utility
from here:
http://www.seagate.com/support/disc/utils.html

It allows Windows XP to use hard drives over 137GB. Check to make sure your
motherboard BIOS also supports 48-bit LBA.
