Hello Thanks For the help on the HD issuse. But my most in important
question is If I install and it has a Virus on will it infected my
other HD and the rest of my PC. Before I can Scan it. Please Help.

Yes.

Disconnect all other HDs from the system and boot from a CD purpose-built
for the task of scanning the HD, then partitioning and formatting it. Do
NOT install an OS on the HD.

When finished, re-install the other HDs.

Call me naive, but how can a virus infected HD cross contaminate just by
plugging it in? He's only using it for storage.

Maybe I'm missing something, but would have thought if virus is in some
files on that HD then only if you were to directly try accessing/using
those files would you have a problem. Only other area that could be a
problem would have been a boot sector virus, but if that HD isn't being
booted from how can the virus run?

Can someone clarify. Are there other types of virii I'm not aware of
that work in a different way?
