usb 2.0 external drives have become very affordable and do a nice job. to
be honest though, I basically use mine for "archiving" type purposes only,
and still transfer all the "In process" media to my main drive to work. I
have never really tested one for capturing directly or working with media
directly from one (not sure why - paranoid I guess.)
| Thank you all, I think a second hard drive is in my future plus backing up
to
| Data DVDs. I have never used an external hard drive, I will look into that
| option also. This video editing is so much fun. Family members are now
| getting into the act for Xmas presents and Family tree photos and
| memorabilia. Fortunately I know how to do it for them with their help.
