Hello,
I have a drive setup on RAID 1 that should only be holding the OS on a
database server. I'm in need to know of any tools to figure out what
in the world is causing the hard drive to fill up. It's not a daily
increase but every once in awhile I'll gain a couple of MB. I took
over this server not long ago and it already had only 400 MB left on
the disk. Are there any utilities that I can use or just could things
I should be checking on? I have about 8GB for the OS partition which
should be plenty to hold Win2k and SQL server 2000. All the DB logs
and data are stored on different drives. I have virus scanning running
daily and our defs are up to date so I don't think it's a virus.
Please let me know if there's anything I should be checking on. Thanks
a lot of for the help!

Some file and or directory names might help.

At this point I'm just looking at the 8 GB C drive and seeing that I
have 400 MB left. I just cleared the Internet history and temp files
which pushed my free space up to 525 MB. I also searched for any file
larger than 30 MB and noticed that my pagefile and my memory.dmp file
are the exact same size which is about 2 gb each. Should the
memory.dmp file be that large? Thanks again!!

Get rid of the *.dmp file. You don't need it unless you're planning on
debugging the last blue screen stop error.

Yeah I checked the date and it was almost a year old. My memory
doesn't serve me for that long but yes I deleted it and I have space
again. Thank you much!

You're welcome.
