I used to have a free program that put all my files by type and showed the
per cent of each type, so I could see how much music took up and then pics,
etc.

Problem is I lost it and of course forgot name, anyone have a clue of one
out there similar?

tks all

In a DOS shell, run:

dir /s [[drive:]path]*.jpg

That'll list all .jpg files along with showing the total number of
matching files and their total bytes consumed. For other filetypes,
change "jpg" to whichever one you want.

Free and already included in every version of Windows.
