Hard drive size ?

I have an Acer Travelmate 5520 running Windows XP Pro. When I look in My Computer > Properties it shows the HDD as only been 111gb in size. 97.5gb free and 14.2gb used.
Specifications on cnet.com say it has a 120gb hard drive.
Both Speccy and SIW say it has a 120gb hard drive. Disk Management says the drive is 111.79 gb.


Where has the other 8.21gb gone ?

Thanks, that sorted that out. Laptop originally had V*sta on it with a factory recovery partition. I know the factory recovery partitions are extremely hard to get rid of, so at first thought it had something to do with that, as the factory recovery partition was much the same size.
