Hard Drive size

My 2k svr show 50 gb used and 27 gb free but when I look
at the files to include hidden files I only see 6.9 gb
used. This system was hacked a long time ago and has
since been placed behind a firewall. Is there anything
that I can do to located this unidentifiable portion of my
drive so that I may reclaim it short of a reformat?
