It installed as the E drive... No C drive... Could be
causing problems with my Virus/Firewall/Privacy software
not running properly, as well as some other software. How
do I get it to become the C drive ??

Not much of a problem description...

Assuming "It" refers to a new clean install of W2k , the problem
occurred when the installer "remembered" that "C:" was in use and could
not be used as a name for the new partition. Apparently you have a "D:"
that you didn't mention.

There is no way to change "E:" to "C:" on the installed system unless
you're willing to change thousands of occurrences of "E:" in such places
as the entire registry hive, DLLs, and so forth. There are no very
reliable tools to do this, either.

Bite the bullet.

Start a new a install. Delete the "E:". Create a new partition. Then
abort that install. Start a new install. Choose the new partition and
proceed. The abort/reboot/restart will remove that awkward memory. The
resulting system should be on "C:". The "D:" will remain "D:".

As Dan mentioned, there is no easier way to change it back to C than
re-install win2k.
Your problem before, I guess, is caused by an existed FAT32 partition, which
is used by win2k installer as C: and those boot files were installed there
and the main widows was installed on E:.One important thing during
re-install, hide remove that partition during install, otherwise, you may
still face the E: drive problem.

Good luck,

vince
