Hello,

I'm looking at Purchasing a copy of Win 2k Pro... Not OEM,
but a Full version of it. If later down the road, after
installing it, I want to reformat my Hard drive and start
from scratch again, is it possible to install Win2k from
the same disk legally??

Yes.
You may legally install the OS as many times as you want or need. You may
also install the OS on a different machine just as long as you remove it
from the first machine prior.

Yes, absolutely. That's the difference between a full and OEM
version (beside receiving MS technical support with the full
version).

The OEM version never allows you to reformat and reinstall?

I smell something emerging from the back of that animal stood in that
field over there.

It depends on the OEM. Some have been known to simply include
an installation folder, with no CD included. Whether this is "legal"
or not I have no idea.

From what I understand an OEM copy can only get support
from the supplier of the OEM disc not microsoft.
and is usually supplied with a new computer, so you go
back to the company you bought the pc from.

I have an OEM copy, and multiple reinstalls is not a
problem.. actually I made the slipstream copy including
SP3, haven't gotten around to doing the slipstream sp4 yet.
fortunetly I haven't experienced the multiple problems
others have with sp4, thank god!
