I am afraid I am a bit new to monitoring hard disks, so I apologize if
this is a stupid or poorly worded question.

That disclaimer aside, I have a system I am monitoring with WhatsUP for
disk read and write levels. What I dont know is what is an acceptable
level of activity on a harddrive. I realize this will not be a static
number, but I am hoping you may be able to help me with a ratio of
drive / RPM or something similar.

Thank you in advance,

George

No idea what you are are trying to do. Is there a problem with the drive
in question. Otherwise the amount of read and write are going to be due
to user and system setting and data traffic needs, nothing related to
the drive or RPM.

Level of activity on a hard drive

You can set disk quota's in windows if that is what you are looking for...
As far as monitoring activity, Why ?
