Hey, I have an 80g hard drive that i've had for a while
that has information on it that I need. I attached the
drive to my new computer where it shows up in hardware
manager and disc management but not my computer. When I
go to assign a drive letter, the only selectable option
is delete partition and help. How can I make this drive
appear while keeping the information on it. Thanks for
your help.

make sure Hard Drive size is set, max LBA
Boot using a the maxblast boot disk and you can set the LBA there, not sure
if this is the problem, but worked for me

whay is LBA? All my hard drives are Western Digital
which comes with Data Lifeguard Tools but when I called
Western Digital, they told me not to use it. I've looked
in BIOS but it says the right size. The file system is
FAT32 and the status is "Healthy (Active)". I don'y know
if that helps anymore. Thanks

Hi there
Do you have tweakui installed.
If so maybe you have it set not to show that drive letter.
Open tweakui and click on my computer , click on drives and see what you
have unchecked.
Hope this helps
