My friend has a problem that I'm trying to help him with
but to no avail.
He has lost everything from his hard drive, he even
managed to delete/remove the pre-installed partion that
holds the backup data. His PC doesn't come with a windows
disc, just a backup disc to run the restore program from
the partition and a key code.
I tried recreating a DOS partion using FDISK after
booting from the CD-ROM it gets to verifying drive 0%
complete and then stays there.
If I leave it connected and boot into windows I can see
it in device manager, and if I go properties and populate
if gives me all the right info. oh and can also see it in
BIOS and FDISK knows it is there.
Any ideas would really help
It doesn't allocate it a drive letter and doesn't appear
in My computer.
