hard drive problem

have a sony vaio pcg k215s running on xp home

have 60gb hard drive split into 2 drives c and d when downloading from net
get message drive c full run disk clean up,have done this and removed old
programs would of thought computer would automaticly start using drive d,is
there anything i should be doing to make computer use drive d ,or do i have
to move programs manually onto drive d

You have to physically designate drive D: to be used.

You can facilitate this by downloading and installing TweakUI for
Windows XP from
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx
The "My Computer" tab of TweakUI allows you to change the default
location for items such as Program Files and My Documents.
