I reformated my hard drive and when I do a Disk Check I get pop ups saying
unable to check Disk 2,3,4,5. Like it is partitioned. I have two H/D, one is
120 and the other is a 220GB. When I look in computer Management it only show
one partition, but my GB count is WAY off. For example a 220 GB, I only have
available 127 GB. Can anyone explain why such a loss in space? I do have to
redo my computer every four to six weeks because of it messing up so bad. Am
I not setting something up right or is there are hidden partitions?

What are you installing on it (Windows XP what?)
What service pack level are you starting with?
What do the hard disk drives look like in the BIOS?

You should be utilizing a Windows XP with SP2 integrated.
You should *not* have to redo your system except in extreme circumstances -
and if you are doing something 'extreme' --> you would be better off
investing in an imaging application, and external drive and making an image
of the system the next time you do a clean installation and have it setup
correctly so you can just apply that image the next time and save yourself a
lot of time and effort.

Because you are using a winxp cd that is pre sp1 and as such cannot format
drives larger than 127gb

For the rest see Shenans post; IMO you are doing something drastically wrong
with your sys if you have to reload every x weeks

I am using a XP Pro install disc with SP1. As far as the bios, that is one
place I don't venture into. I did once before and had to take my computer to
a real doctor to be fixed.
