I had trouble with a HD tray in an XP box and it looks like it has cause
a corruption on one of the 2 partitions on the drive.

The folders show in Explorer however when I place the cursor on a folder
I get a panel the folder or files are corrupted.

Where do I go from here?

Thanks

If the data isnt a problem to loose, boot to xp cd,recovery, type:DiskPart In
DiskPart,delete the partition,create one,press ESC key,type:FORMAT D:
/FS:NTFS
D: being the new partition, type:EXIT When thru.

well, i think the concern
is that there seems to
be data present but
not accessiable.

perhaps, the o.p. should
access the recovery console
and do a dir command to
confirm or deny the existence
of files and sizes first.
