Hi,
I wonder if anyone can help me with the following problem.
Recently, my pc has developed a couple of problems. The main one is the hard
drive. It will not boot at all, despite working well for the last few
months. I suspect I the problems came down to a power surge, but that's a
different matter.
Anyhow, I plugged the hard drive into another computer. Still it won't load.
All jumpers have been checked, and are correct.
So, I installed Win2k on a old hard drive, and put my non-bootable disk in
the same pc.
Bios checks primary/secondary master and slave, but still doesn't recognise
my original hard drive. I boot in to Windows on the old disk, and Windows
Explorer sees all the files from the original disk.
So, all the data is there.
If there anyway to make the disk boot again without formatting it?
Thanks,
T.
