The hard drive cage in my Lian Li case holds 4 drives...and I have 4 drives to
use. However, it holds these drives (and I was planning to use SATA drives,
some of them 10000K Raptors) vertically. There is a piec that allows you to
convert the rack to hold drives mounted horizontally, but then only three
drives can, I believe, be fit in. One could move the 4th drive elsewhere in
the case but then it would not be right in front of the HD fans. So, is there
any problem at all with keeping hard drives vertically mounted? They are new
drives that have not been used before.

the drive should work fine in any position

i've even seen new machines with drives mounted vertically
