I upgraded a Windows 2000 Professional Computer to
Windows XP Professional. When I first went to install the
update, I made a mistake and selected FULL install
instead of UPGRADE. I tsaid something about creating a
partition and I did. The computer installed WinXPPro, but
it made the 20GB HD that I have 2 drives instead of one.
I learned how to remove the partition and I did. I
reformatted the hard drive and installed Windows XP PRo.
Now it's only one Hard Drive (C:), but it's detecting it
as only 2MB and not 20MB. I consulted the Support Center
on the computer and it suggested nothing to help me. I
loaded the command prompt and typed DISKPART and then
SELECT DISK 0 then LIST PARTITION. It shows only one
partition and it's size is 19MB, yet Windows is only
detecting 2MB and I can't install any other software b/c
there isn't enough disk space.

PLEASE HELP!!

start > control > admintools > computer management >
diskmanagement.

From here you can resize your partitions to include the
free space.
