Hi
I have an 80-gig hard drive out of a server that has a FAT32 partition
on it, when this partition is formatted it stops for an awefull long
time on 63%, yet when all partitons are removed and the complete drive
is formatted with NTFS it completes and shows as healthy. If I
re-create the same partitions and try formatting the FAT32 partition
is pauses at 63% again.
Does anyone have any ideas on this.
Is there any good freeware utilities for testing the surface of hard
drives?
Why does Windows not show any errors after the format and is any of
the format information stored in a log file some where?
Regards
