just installed new harddrive to my computer. the computer detected the harddrive. it shows up in the device manerger. It dosn't show up on in my computer and i have no way to access it.

Hi There, Try going to control panel\admin tools and see if it's there. If it is, just hi-lite it and make a logical drive or as many as you need. Hope this helps (HTH)

i cant seem to find it there. im not sure where to look in admin tools. if your talking about device manager i cant do anything with it.

Did you partition and format the drive? If not, right click on My Computer
and select Manage and then go to disk management.

Are both drives formatted as NTFS?
but can't find the data. Strangley enough other programs on my computer can
"see" the drive and I've been able to copy files on the drive using other
apps. I just can't seem to get explorer to "see" the drive. I've even been
ablto format the drive and make two partitions with the Device manager. Any
suggestions are welcome.
