hey guys, got a WD 20GB hdd with os and data on it, its getting full now. So
i bought a Seagate 40GB to replace it, i have imaged the 20GB to the 40GB
with Acronis Drive Image, it seems to have copied ok, but when i try to boot
from the 40GB, the screen reads, that the " NTDRL is missing "
can anyone help me please?

Boot the machine with your WinXP CD, get into Repair / Recovery
Console, then run these commands:
fixboot
fixmbr

When you copied the hard drive, you didn't do anything to the MBR. The other
poster's suggestion should point the MBR to the right place.

Maybe you should have used Acronis to clone the older hard drive to the
replacement. Creating an image would not help. An image is a single file
that is only for usage in restoration purposes, AFAIK.

Depending on your Acronis version, it might also present you with a "set up
new drive" option.

I am not an expert but I use Acronis (and Ghost) regularly.
