Hard drive gone/ cant find OP system

I booted my computer up today and all of a sudden it wont
recognize my hard drive even exists? It wont boot up no
matter how many times i try. All the cables are firmly in
place if anyone has any ideas please help! Thanks in

Hi,

Try boot into BIOS to check for the HDD. If it exists, try below:

Use the method as described on this web page below to access the "recovery
console".

Once at the recovery console command prompt, type in:

bootcfg /rebuild

if unseen in Bios, try the following, remove and reinstall
the cables to the hd's, replace the cables, if no joy, try
a different power supply connector, if no joy, and the
rest of your pc seems to be operating fine, replace the hd.
 
Bios no longer recognizes it. and it sits there making
clinking noises but the hard drive light will not come
on? now I'm really clueless. Any Ideas? Thanks
 
You have a dead hard drive. Time to go buy a new one and reload all of your
software.
