I have windows 2000 pro and I reformated the hard drive
so i can install windows 98. When the format was done and
i rebooted the system, windows states the there is on
operation system on the comp. That's what i wanted,
everything clear off the hard drive but I can't load the
windows 98 onto the computer from a cd. I think that it
doesn't read the disk to load. How do I load the new
windows 98? Is there a way through dos?

Your in the wrong newsgroup, but you need to use a Win 98/Me floppy boot
disk with CD-ROM support to access the Win 98 CD.
If you don't have Win 98?Me bootdisk, you download one from
http://www.bootdisk.com .
You can then access the Win 98 CD and run setup by typing setup at the
prompt.
You can follow the basic information in the link below for the removal of
2000 to 98 even though it is for XP to 98.

Click on or copy and paste the link below into your web browser address box.
Remove XP and install 98/Me
