Please, can anybody help.
I've put together a new PC and within 3 months it appears that the
hard drive has failed. Western Digital 120GB Drive.
I've tested the hard drive in 2 other systems, so including the 3
systems in all I can't get any of the PC's to boot up whilst this
particular hard-drive is installed.
I've tried booting up with the believed bad drive - No luck, and I've
also tried selecting it as the slave drive, but then the master drive
won't boot up either.
What can I do, to at least get a system up and running, which will
recognise the bad hard-drive, in order that I can back up some data -
Luckily a back up was made not long before it crashed, so if the worst
comes to the worst, I haven't lost too much.
I'll welcome any suggestions
Many Thanks
Clive
