I put a 160 hard drive (F) in about a week ago.
Everything was working fine. I wiped my C drive and
reinstalled xp pro just last night. I opened my F drive
and installed my programs that I had saved there. Today I
try and go to my F drive to listen to music and install
somemore programs that I have saved and it gives me the
windows explorer error message. I checked the hard drive
and it says it is online and healthy. I even unplugged it
and rebooted the computer then turned it off and plugged
it back in. That still did not work. What do I need to do
without wiping my F drive. And again it worked right
after I redid my C but will not work today. Please help.

Check your jumper settings on your hard drive. Make sure
that C: drive is set to primary and the 2nd one is set to
slave. Also go into your system bios and make sure your
settings for your drives are set to auto detect.
