Boot with your XP CD and start like you are going to install XP. Continue,
follwoing the instructions, until it asks "Which partition would you like to
install on" -> Then select the partition you want to DELETE and DELETE it.
It's a bit involved from my pespective but, under
accesories you will find a "command prompt" command. Start
by typing the command(from the c:\ prompt) "attrib -r-a-s-
h" this erases the (read only, hidden attrib....so-forth)
then type-"del *.*" It isn't always that easy, sometimes
you have to delete all the files wthin a directory before
you can erase the directory utilizing the command "rd"
(remove directory). This is how i do it, probably some of
the engineers out there have a better method(they usualy
do)but i'm from old school. old dos methods work for me.
also, if your logged in as "administrator" you possibly
could just right click on yor "c" drive designator and
use your format command, it would definetly erase the
drive.
