If it's not recognized by the BIOS, first check it has adequate power and that the cables are secure both ends. C clower Oct 6, 2003 #5 thank you - I just replaced the PSU and it still won't work? Do you think the drive itself is bad?
G George Cruppi Oct 7, 2003 #6 Or check that your settings in the BIOS haven't been changed to a different harddrive. Make sure your BIOS is set to auto-detect the harddrive. If it detects correctly but still won't boot then you may have a boot record problem.
