I have a secondary harddrive that i use with my XP machine to store files
like pictures, documents. It was my "g" drive.
I create a new machine from scratch and then decided to add the old
secondary hard-drive to my new vista machine (it was a 'slave' on XP). When
I start up Vista it states that the drive is now a 'dynamic' disk and cannot
access the drive. there is a red exclaimation mark on the drive - when i go
to disk management. the only way to access the drive is to reformat all the
contents:
- is ntfs different on Vista vs XP?
- Is there a setting I should use - is it trying to map the same letter
drive designation from XP to Vista?
Any help would be appreciated.
