How do I determine what program file does what?
I'm just about out of space on my hard drive and my system is running
sluggishly. I want to delete some programs that I don't use (and won't use)
to free up space.
There are programs and snippets and bits of stuff (i.e., empty folders and
files) on the hard drive that I don't know what they are. Some of them, like
the MSN Gaming Zone and Movie Maker take up a lot of space. A "Support.com"
folder contains a "backup" folder that takes up a whopping 6 GB of space ...
and I have no idea what it's for.
Some of these programs I'm sure I don't use (Gaming Zone? Movie Maker? No
way).
I've tried to move some of these files/folders/programs to an external hard
drive, but the files/folders can't be moved.
I run CCleaner weekly.
And I've just about cleaned out my Outlook.
Any suggestions would be most appreciated.
