hard drive backup

I'm looking for a fast program that does the following:
Ability to back up my hard drives quickly on a DVD and maintain the creation
dates of the copied info on the backup files.
Some of the programs I have tried are either slow or don't maintain the
creation dates, which is important to me.
I am using Windows XP Professional.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Have you looked at Retrospect ( http://www.emcinsignia.com/ )?

While it is not a FILE backup progam, I use this to make an
image of my complete hard drive, to then be able to put it
ALL back onto a new hard drive in case of a drive failure
