I am running XP home. I replaced a failed hard drive and got everything
reloaded. I would like to make a back-up or drive image to CD-Rs. What is
the best avenue for this? Should I use a program like Norton Ghost, or is
there a better way?

Thanks!!

Look for the program NTBACKUP.EXE

It is on your system somewhere. Try it.

No it's almost certainly not on his system. Dingo says he has the
Home edition. Backup is installed automatically on XP
Professional, but not on XP Home. If you have the complete XP
Home CD, find backup on the CD, in \ValueAdd\MSFT\NTBACKUP and
install it yourself by doubleclicking the file ntbackup.msi.

If you don't have an XP CD, you can download ntbackup.msi at
http://www.onecomputerguy.com/software/ntbackup.msi

Over and above that, he's asking whether there's something better
than Norton Ghost. There may be something better than Ghost, but
XP's backup utility is not one of them.
