Check to see if one of the LED wires is shorting to the case
metal. One such case I encountered was caused by a sharp edge
that had had cut through the insulation and was permanently
shorting it to ground.

How do you know the drive is not working? Have you checked for
malware? Did it used to work properly and then start being steady
recently? Boot into BIOS to see if it is still steady on. If so then
it's time to take the machine apart and put a voltmeter on the
motherboard header pins. It is also possible the ON and HDD LEDs have
been swapped.

You don't give any pertinent information. Does the computer work? Fail to
boot? Or is the LED just on all the time?

Ok everythings work ok now. It was the flat cable that connect my cdrom and
burner to the secondary ide that was not correctly snap on.
Thank's everybody
