How to set up a Video Editing DVD Film Making on a IBM compatible
PC (instead of a Mac)?

How much internal Hard Disk do I need for a 90 min. mini DV tape input.

What Video Editing/ DVD making software do you recommend that
is good for IBM PC clone? I cant use a Final Cut Pro as I dont
have a Mac.

What is the size of LOCAL RAM that the PC needs so that the
assembled film has no frame rate problem or any other problem.

What are good Videofilm editing softwares available for a PC
(not talking about a Mac here)>?

thx.

Basic but easy to use is Ulead's DVD Movie Factory.
More sophisticated Adobe Premiere Elements which is a cut down version of
the top end Adobe Premiere.

The Total Training course for Adobe Premiere recommends 3.3MB of disk
space for each second of video.

You also need to ensure your hard disk is spinning at 7,200rpm (older
models spin at 5,400rpm).

Whilst the minimum RAM requirement is 512k I had major problems until I
upgraded to 1MB of RAM (I'm using Adobe Premier but expect other video
editing software packages to have similiar requirements).
