Three years ago, I had a tech guy replace my 10 GB hard drive with a 40 GB one. In order for Windows 95 (installed at that time) to work, he said it would be necessary for drive C to be divided into 4 partitions, (labeled C,D,E,& F) each of 10 GB. The four drives are physically located on one drive but Windows has been programmed to treat them as four separate drives. At the time, 10 GB seemed like lots of room, and I never thought more room would be necessary. Since then, I upgraded to Windows XP and would like to either convert the D,E, & F, sections of the hard disk to be designated as C, or simply enlarge the section called C and make the others much smaller. Is there a way to do this? Much thanks, Sam

The only way you can create, delete, resize or merge existing partitions,
and not harm your existing Windows XP installation, is to use
a third-party partitioning program such as Partition Magic 8.
