Apart from BIOS limitation, what else do I need to consider when
installing a new HD with 80GB? Does it matter if the system is PIII?

The mother board is AOpen MX3S - PIII system with 512 MB RAM.

The BIOS might only limit speed settings,however setting to "load optimal
defaults" should give it max speed.With the older boards,with intel based,

The other limitation is that the hard drive needs to be IDE/ATAPI/PATA
conneection. Your motherboard would not support a Serial ATA (SATA)
directly.
