I have Microsoft Windows XP Small Business Edition
installed on my computer. How do I backup the hard drive
to multiple CDs? I can not find a backup command
anywhere.

Windows XP Backup does not have the capability to span multiple CDs
(record from one to another) during a backup operation. When using
Windows XP Backup, the total size of the backup file must not exceed
the formatted capacity of the CD (approximately 533MB). If you need to
backup an entire drive or a system volume exceeding 533 MB, you need
to use a third party backup and restore program designed to span the file
over multiple CDs.

You'll need a third-party CD Recording program, such as Nero,
in order to record and span the backup file to multiple CDs.

No you don't. ;-)

There's no such product as "Microsoft Windows XP Small Business
Edition."

You have two distinct things installed on your computer:
Microsoft Windows XP and Microsoft *Office* Small Business
Edition. Don't mix up the operating system and a suite of
application programs.

How do I backup the hard drive
to multiple CDs? I can not find a backup command
anywhere.

If you can't find the backup command, you must have Windows XP
*Home* installed. Backup is installed automatically on XP
Professional, but not on XP Home. If you have the complete XP
Home CD, find backup on the CD, in \ValueAdd\MSFT\NTBACKUP and
install it yourself by doubleclicking the file ntbackup.msi.

If you don't have an XP CD, you can download ntbackup.msi at
http://www.onecomputerguy.com/software/ntbackup.msi

However the WIndows backup program is not a particularly good
one; among its weaknesses is that
it will *not* backup to CDs.

If I were you, I'd investigate some of the third-party backup
utilities available.

Your best bet for backup is an external hard drive. They cost money but are
well worth the cost. Some come with a Backup Utility included.
