Check your event logs. Go to Start, Run and type:
eventvwr.msc <hit Enter>
Then look in both System and Application. Post your
errors.
Possibilities are bad Internet Explorer plugins, viruses,
adware.
Download Spybot from:
security.kolla.de
and then update Spybot and do a scan.
Update your antivirus definitions and run a scan.
I always set my Internet Explorer "Security"
and "Privacy" settings to maximum, unless I'm at a very
well-known good site (like Microsoft, WinDrivers, etc.).
You can't log onto Internet sites nor can you make
purchases with your IE settings this high, but it stops
lots of adware from self-installing junk when you visit
websites.
It also tends to speed up your Internet connection.
I hope it's not a trojan.
