I have an odd problem with W2K when shutting it down: if I shut it down
as a regular user, it shuts down just fine, but if I shut it down as
Administrator, the system hangs just short of complete shut down. Has
any one else come across this problem? Where might I start
troubleshooting this?

Thanks,
Dale S.

SP is 4. And since I'm new to Windows admin, where might my event
logs be, please?

Try going to start | run ....type
eventvwr
