Hang up on clod boot - warm boot and rest OK

70% of the time my system hangs just before the Window's XP screen when
switched on from cold. Reset button or restart works OK.

I have tried stripping out BIOS settings to bare essentials and checked
drivers etc.

I suspect that it is the PSU - anyone confirm for sure this is the problem?
Current PSU is 350w and worked fine with machine for two years. It's 1700
P4, 2 HD (80&80) CD writer 4xUSB.

Any ideas re where to start?

Try unplugging the slave HDD and see if this fixes prob.....if so boot sector in 2nd HDD corrupted
