Handouts and notes pages

Is there a way in the handouts mode to enter copy from the
note pages section so you can have say, 3 slides up with
it's apropriate copy right next to it in handouts?

Hi "jimbosix",

try "File - Send to - Word" you can choose a "3 slides with notes" layout
there.
