Handling graphics in large files

Has anyone ever noticed that when you work with really large size ppt files
with lots of graphics pasted into them, the files do really weird things?
Like periodically X out graphics; move graphics around between pages on its
own when new graphics are pasted in; and distort image sizes and aspect
ratios? It's happened to me before and is killing me this weekend. I
literally can't get a presentation finished because every time I add a
graphic, it screws up 10 other pages in it.

"pasted into them"

That's Problem 1.

Read the pages Bill pointed you at, but above all, STOP pasting images into
PPT. If your finger wander anywhere near the Ctrl+V button while there's an
image on the clipboard, slap yourself on the wrist.

Save the images to a graphics file (JPG or PNG) then in PPT use Insert,
Picture, From File to bring them in.

Your files will be much smaller and far less prone to breakage.

Your hair will be with you longer.
