When I first installed Halo I got the message about
getting an update for my Video driver. I've done this,
but now after a while playing the game the PC just cut's
off and I get the dreaded blue screen! Please help

Hello Jane,

First, I would make sure that your video card is strong
enough to handle a game like Halo. As previous posted, do
you know what video card you have?

Then, I would make sure you have the latest driver for
your video card, also I would install the latest version
of directx as well. Make sure to restart after you your
video driver, and also after you load directx before you
start to play Halo. hope it helps!

Hi again, have you a via based motherboard, are you using the ATI drivers
for your card not the MS ones. Are 4 in 1's installed, is your PSU 350 watts
or over?

Hi Chris,
Sorry but what you've just asked me is way over my head,
the only thing i can answer is--Yes I am using the ati
Drivers, and NOT the MS ones. If you could explain to me
how to get the info you need I'll try! Thanks so much for
your help.

Hi, can you also please note what is on the blue screen, if it disappears
real quick then 'right click' on my computer, 'left click' on properties
then 'advanced' then 'startup and recovery' settings and uncheck
automatically restart.....
