Have two systems with non-ATI, 8500 LE boards. (I know they are old
and slow, but can't afford upgrades now...) Anyway, both crash in
Halo - screen freezes, and the systems must be rebooted. Both work
great in all other games we have tried. I have tried several drivers
with no relief - some play longer, but all eventually crash. Does
anyone have a solution?

Sorry - more info about above:

Both are 98SE on XP 1800+ w/512 megs RAM. Different (MSI and ASUS)
motherboards. Both systems are very stable on all other games and
othere tasks.

Thanks. I downloaded the Omega driver based on cat 3.1 and it's been
working like a charm.

you may want to try the new 3.10s now - theyre supposed to fix Halo and I
find the 3.1s stuff up Knights of the Old Republic for me. Keep those 3.1s
handy though if you do upgrade ....
