i posted up this same message like last week but
something new is happening

at first the game was working for a few months but lately
when i play the game the thing moves on its on. it just
keeps going foward and i cant stop it. i tried using
other keys instead of W,S,A,D but the problem still
occurs. I cant even play it since i hardly have control
over it. I uninstalled the thing and reinstalled it but
nothing changed. if u are curious i am running windows
xp. plz help!!!! i want to play the game again. the new
thing that happens is that it works fine from what i see
when i play against the bots. but once i try to play
online it starts moving on its own again.
 
Hi Edward,

Did you install any new hardware or software since the time
it stopped working properly? Have you tried completely
removing the game via Control Panel / Add - Remove prog-
rams, and then installed it again? Have you unplugged all
your input devices beside the keyboard including your mouse?

Hopefully these questions will put some ideas into motion. :-)

Joshua Smith of Microsoft is having problems with his news reader, but asked
me to pass along this suggestion: Try opening the Halflife console with the
"~" key, type "gl_d3dflip 1" without quotes, hit Enter, and close the
console with "~".
