Hi,
i have problems booting win 2000 with XP also being on
the same drive. The latter boots fine, and i did have
this configuration before without any problems.
i get an error message concerning <windows root>\system32
\hal.dll.
i checked the presence of this file in the given location
in win 2000 system32 folder and it is present.
Anyone out there who understands what is going on?

While W2K can exist in a dual-boot with XP on a single hard drive, these
won't coexist if both are in the same partition. Even if you choose same
partition, different directories, you'll still see a few strange bugs due to
the fact that both operating systems will fight for different versions of
some shared files in the "program files" directory. The possible issues of
