Hi, I have a multi-partition disk with windows 2000.
I installed Windows XP PRO. When I boot, I see both operating systems at
start up but when I select the Win2k system I get the message "<windows
root>\system32\hal.dll missing or corrupt.
XP is installed on disk C and win2k is on disk E.
Win XP boots fine.
I looked at the boot.ini file and it looks the same as it was prior to
installing XP.
Please advise how I can boot the Win2k partition. I plan to migrate the
files eventually to winXP but need access to this partition now.
