hal.dll and error 0xc000001

I after vista restarts, it tries to start and then says hal.dll is missing,
error is 0xc0000011
 
You should start by doing a startup repair from the install DVD if you have
one. Since you provide insufficient information to even guess, this error
occurs when the system points to a partition which doesn't have the required
startup files, this one and ntoskrnl. You will need to make sure your BIOS
is pointing properly to the correct hard drive to start.
