Hi,

I am really tensed, since Friday 3/10/2003 i have the
feeling that there is somebody who has entered into my
system. I have a Windows ME OS, but one error I made was
not to have a Firewall installed. On friday i saw the
Mouse move on its own and close my excel application and
after that it moved over to open one of my documents. I
switched of the machine immediately. After that I
disconnected myself from Internet and restarted my
machine, but even without Internet the person was still
there trying to open documents and Outlook express. After
that I downloaded a Firewall from Sygate and put the
option to Block ALL. But to no effect. I downloaded the
latest Virus definitions from Norton but Norton did not
detect any Viruses.
As far as my knowledge about PCs goes, it is that when I
am not connected to Internet, nobody can have access on my
machine. And if there was a TROJAN then the Virus scanner
would have detected it. I really do not know what to do.
At certain times there is no problem. But all of a sudden
these things start all over again.
I have a Microsoft Mouse without Cable. Can it be a
disfunctionality of this.

Please Help
With best regards
Surender Uttamsingh.

Do you have Symantec Ghost on your system?
It sounds like your computer may be haunted.
Download PC Exorcist 2.1, and be sure to update the spook definitions before running a full system scan.

Alternatively, maybe someone else in your office has a cordless mouse and they're messing around with you.

No I do not have Symantec Ghost. I will try that out.

Regarding the Cordless mouse. The PC is at home, so nobody
except me uses it.
I hope that your idea of Symantec Ghost helps.
If possible can you provide me more details regarding the
PC being haunted. It is for the first time that I hear
this.

Thanks for your help.
Regards
Surender.
