What do you think of GuildFTPd?
The v1 is still not finished, but they're "expecting it soon".
I think they were saying that months, if not years ago on the forum
already.
But it's good software anyway, and free.

Please remember lots of ISP's do not allow FTP server running.
Check your ISP's terms first before trying this!

GuildFTPd works very well when it is running properly, but it does
tend to go "south" on me from time to time. Hopefully, this will be
addressed in the new version. Your admonition about checking with your
ISP before running a server is excellent advice. I checked with my ISP
and found I needed a business account. 20 bucks more a month and
double the allowed upstream/downstream bandwidth, so I figure I made
out like a bandit. Far better than losing your broadband account and
having to go back to dial-up, which is a pretty good excuse for
suicide. ;-)
