I have 1.0.0.44, which from what I've been able to find is close to the
latest...
Is there any way to make this thing update its listings in the
background on a nightly basis? Having to start it up and request an
update once a week, and have the screen window go blank and change
channels for the several minutes it takes to download, sort, and install
the new data, is just retarded.
Even more retarded is how it always tries to change away to the show you
select from the guide, even if it's at a future time... it can't even
simply change to that channel, it seems to be trying to tune in the
future... and getting just a blank screen, of course.
Anyone found a better guide program for this thing? Ever tried
BeyondTV? Its guide and programmed recording setup is far better than
this, although the viewer app itself is clunkier and very slow to start up.
